Meera Raghavendra, a lawyer smeared ink on to senior writer Bhagawan’s face in the premises of the 2nd ACMM court in Bangalore on February 4, 2021.
A complaint had been registered against senior writer Bhagawan pertaining his disrespectful comments about the Hindu religion. In due process of enquiry of the matter, the 2nd ACMM court had granted bail to the writer. This was followed by the incident of ink smearing on to Bhagawan’s face, as he walked out the court.

On October 2,2020 Bhagawan had made remarks resulting in criminal case under IPC sections 298 and 505 being filed against him.
