The Hathway cable network on Friday removed NDTV India from the popular channel packs, the channel said.
Senior Journalist and Executive Editor of NDTV, Ravish Kumar on Friday called out Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd, for dropping NDTV from their cable TV.
NDTV Convergence head Suparna Singh and senior executive editor, Ravish Kumar asked tweeple to tweet to the cable network provider using their official Twitter handles.
The channel asked people to support NDTV and ask the cable operator as to why they removed the channel.
In a video shared on NDTV’s official YouTube Channel, Ravish Kumar claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched to sideline the channel and to not let its content reach its audience.
1800 4197 900; 0120 6836401

In the video Ravish talks about that their programme style is not to just bring in two people of opposing views and let them fight it out for TRP. He and his team works 14hours a day to prepare the script for the prime time.
Ravish then said his team would continue their efforts and will not be demoralized by such attempts at sidelining them.
He also urged the audience to call out to the Hathway Cable company adding that people should call the company’s number and tag the official handle of the company (@HathwayCableTV) in their tweets demanding restoration of NDTV on its network.
He also took to his Twitter account and wrote “[email protected] removed by @HathwayCableTV from some popular packs. Our team talking to them to resolve this. To support @ndtvindia, pls tweet @HathwayCableTV or call them : 1800 4197 900; 0120 6836401”.
This is not the first time NDTV is attacked from the ruling government and its stooges. There has been a constant complaint that NDTV was blocked in several cities. Many viewers had earlier complained that the signal would go off during the time of Prime time.
There have been raids on the offices of NDTV in 2017. Ravish Kumar has been mocked and harassed on his social media handles. He regularly gets death threats because he talks about issues that are related to people. His shows present the glaring state of law and order, unemployment and show a mirror to society.
Does this hurt the “All is Well” image of the ruling government?
