Bhim Army founder to launch his political party as an alternative for Dalits

Bhim Army has a massive following among youth in North India and can emerge as a political challenge to Mayawati.

Bhim Army founder Chandra Shekhar Azad has decided to enter electoral politics. Yesterday he announced on twitter the launch of a political party as an alternative to Dalits.

The party has not decided on a name yet. Azad has called his supporters on twitter so suggest a name for the party.

Bhim army has a strong base in Western Uttar Pradesh. Hence the party has decided to focus on Uttar Pradesh for now. It will contest in Panchayat and assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The party will also put up candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi as well.

Earlier, Bhim Army was supporting BSP as a political alternative but BSP’s stance on the citizenship Amendment bill has hurt the sentiments and interests of Bahujans.

In a series of tweets, Chandra Shekhar has said that by article 370, reservation on an economic basis, BSP supremo Mayawati has hurt the Bahujan movement.

Proclaiming the citizenship amendment bill to be unconstitutional, Chandra Shekhar said-

“On Wednesday during voting on Citizenship Amendment Bill, two BSP MPs ran away from the fight to save the Constitution and helped the BJP. They deceived Bhimrao Ambedkar, BSP founder Kanshi Ram and the Dalit community. The Dalits and Muslims were feeling insecure across the country”.

Bhim Army aim is for a stronger Dalit Muslim unity.

On social media, he has given call to honest and energetic youth to join him in his new mission.

Chandra Shekhar said- Dalits, Adivasis and OBS, Muslims are the original inhabitants of this country. Aryans are the one have come from outside, their DNA should be tested and tehy should be put under the ambit of NRC.
