“Mahanayaka” serial based on the life of the architect of constitution of India Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will not be stopped- clarified Zee5 Business Head Raghavendra Hunsur not heeding to the threat calls against telecasting of the popular Kannada tv serial.
Mr Hunsur taking to twitter handle disclosed that he had received threat calls from unidentified persons who sought for stopping the telecast of the serial.

In his tweet Hunsur said “There are loads of messages and midnight calls to stop Mahanayaka serial. Though it sounds threatening…we personally don’t care for it.. Mahanayaka will continue. And we continue to say “it’s our pride”. It’s my personal love aswell.
Those who think it’s an issue for d society, You are actually the ISSUE for this society. Get Well Soon…Jai Bheem”.
The serial being telecasted on Saturday and Sunday in Zee TV Kannada channel has become very popular for it is based on the life of Dr Ambedkar. Ever since the serial in being telecasted the people particularly in several villages in Karnataka erecting the banners and buntings have celebrated it as fest and have welcomed the move.
But, the telecasting of the serial on the life of the visionary has not gone well with a section of people. Hunsur clarified that the serial would not be stopped and continue to be telecasted despite the threatening calls and messages.
His tweet has been retweeted by several people who have expressed solidarity with Hunsur and have also stressed the need for taking legal action against the people in view of the threat.
The popularity of the show is such that people from a village in South Karnataka had requested officials, by submitting a plea, not to cut power when the show is on air. After power outages were reported in a village, they even staged a protest. Mahanayaka is the Kannada version of the Hindi show Ek Mahanayak.
