Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter Soundarya hanged herself on Friday, January 28. She was 30.
The daughter of BS Yeddyurappa’s second daughter Padmavathi committed suicide by hanging himself at a flat near Mount Carmel College in Vasanth Nagar at around 10am this morning. The body has been brought to the Bouring Hospital in Bangalore.
In 2018, she had married a physician. The couple have a four-month-old baby. The husband and wife are both doctors.
According to sources, She had shown signs of post-pregnancy depression.
Soundarya’s husband Neeraj had left for office around 8 AM. Soundarya committed suicide around 10AM. When the housekeeper came in, she remained outside and called Neeraj.
CM Basavaraj Bommai, who is celebrating his birthday today, has come to Yeddyurappa’s Kaveri residence in KK Road, Bangalore when he heard the news of Yeddyurappa’s granddaughter .
The body has been taken to Bowring Hospital for autopsy.
