Rakesh Tikait, leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and farmer leader at the forefront of the ongoing farmers’ movement was in Alwar, Rajasthan. The leader’s convoy that was enroute Bansur from Harsora village of Alwar was allegedly attacked today.
Tikait has been traveling extensively across the country and addressing farmer Mahapanchayats talking about the three farm laws. Farmers across the country have been protesting against the laws and are demanding for legalisation of Minimum Support Price (MSP).
According to Indian Express, Tikait had addressed a gathering at Harsora.

The farmer leader tweeted about the incident and said, “Attacked by BJP goons at the Tatarpur intersection of Alwar district of Rajasthan, Bansur road. Pictures of death of democracy.”
He also shared a video of a damaged car, saying that the attack was carried out by “BJP goons”.

Following the Mahapanchayat in Shivamogga where Tikait had called for a sit-in protest in Karnataka, an FIR was filed against him. On March 31, 2021 talking in Belagavi the farmer leader noted that the farmers in the country are determined to keep their struggle going for another eight months.

Journalist Mandeep Punia has identified the car that was used by the attackers. According to him, the car belongs to Rao Kuldeep Yadav who is also an ABVP student leader.
Farmers who have been protesting relentlessly at the borders of Delhi for more than four months now are determined not to move from there till the Narendra Modi government rolled back the farm laws.
