Karnataka: VHP and Bajrang Dal gives call to ‘worship weapons’ on Ayudh Puja

Belthangady: Sangh Parivar outfit, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrangdal known for its involvement in hate crimes and bombings across the country has evoked a controversy yet again.

This time around, the Belthangady taluk unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrangdal had on the occasion of the Auydha Puja had given a call to perform ‘puja of weapons’ in open. The incident was reported in Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.

The Belthangady taluk unit of Communist Party of India -Marxist (CPIM) has demanded that the district administration and the Police Department must immediately intervene and stop the same.

They also issued a warning that if in case the district administration and the police department fails to step in and stop this, then the progressive organizations of the taluk will be forced to intervene and that the responsibility for the consequences thereafter must be shouldered by the government.

They also remarked that “An RSS leader had recently submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court stating that it was involved in bomb blasts across the across in pursuance of its political gains. In continuation of such terrorist acts, the Sangh Parivar in the name of ‘Ayudha Puja’ has openly displayed guns, pistols, swords, trishuls and are found offering pooja to the same.”
