The Karnataka bandh that was organised by the farmers across the state against the farm bills passed by the state and central governments has been quite successful.
In the midst of the pandemic and while the country was under lockdown, the government passed three ordinances relating to the Agriculture sector. The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Ordinance, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020.

Protesters in thousands gathered in front of the town hall, shouting slogans expressed their anger towards the central and state government. They demanded an immediate withdrawal of anti-farmer bills and continued to march towards Freedom Park in large numbers.
During the rally, protesters requested the shop keepers to support the bandh and close the shops. Many shopkeepers obliged and closed their shops in support of the farmers.
Here are some photos from different districts across the state.
