Government is Re-enforcing the Farm Laws Indirectly: SKM

There are regular news of the hurdles farmers are facing at APMC Mandis to sell their produce in Punjab and Haryana. Farmers are not getting the payment on time also.

Farmers movement at Delhi borders has completed 152 days today. Farmers have been camping at the Delhi borders throughout winter, summer and rain push back the farm laws that central govt. is imposing on the farmers.

Although Supreme Court has suspended three agricultural laws, the central government wants to implement them indirectly. There are regular news of the shortage of gunny bags in the APMC Markets of Punjab and Haryana. Farmers have to sit for several days in the mandis for selling their crops. Farmers are not getting the payment on time. All these efforts are being made by the government to end the Mandi system. Privatization of the agricultural sector will also create a major disaster in which the farmers will have to face its worst impacts. Therefore, the farmers want a law on MSP and repealing of these laws.

SKM condemned police case against 140 farmers including farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar

Central govt. is not just implementing farm laws through backdoor, it is also the continuous harassment done by the police under central govt by putting false cases against farmer leaders.

A police case has been registered against farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar and 140 farmers for making KMP toll plaza free. Samyukta Kisan Morcha strongly condemns this. The call had been given by SKM that till the farmer movement is going on, the toll plazas will also remain free.

Condolences on deaths due to lack of oxygen and health services in country

Samyukta Kisan Morcha pays tribute to all the citizens who have lost their lives during fighting the struggle against COVID-19. According to the news, 31 patients died due to a lack of health services in Patiala. From the capital city Delhi to every corner of the country, bad news are coming due to poor health facilities and infrastructure. Due to pro-corporate policies and governance in the country, even the basic needs of common people are not taken care of. Farmers are also fighting for their basic needs as MSP. The victory of the peasant movement will be the victory of the common people. The needs of poor people have become a business for government and corporates and this system can be changed only by people’s struggle.

Food Distribution Drive of SKM with Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Brigade

In this epidemic, SKM appeals to the government to curb illegal trade taking place in the name of oxygen, medicines, ambulances and other important services. Government should fulfil its duty of providing proper health services and citizens should not be deprived of the right to public health.

SKM Volunteers started distributing food at hospital ; Farm leaders met team of doctors at Singhu

Today, SKM, in collaboration with Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Brigade, distributed food outside Raja Harishchandra Hospital. Tomorrow, 20 stretchers will also be given to the hospital. All doctors present on the Singhu border have met with the leaders of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, a plan was made to strengthen the health services.
