After facing serious injuries during the brutal lathicharge in Karnal district on 28th August, while protesting against the Chief Minister’s event there, Shri Sushil Kajal succumbed to the same yesterday.
SKM pays its respect to this martyr in the farmers’ movement. SKM also reiterates the demand that the state government should immediately slap murder charges and file a case against SDM Ayush Sinha, in addition to dismissing him and all other officials involved in the unacceptable violence unleashed on peaceful protestors on Saturday.
SKM expresses its deep shock and objection against the defence of this murderous official by the Haryana CM Manoharlal Khattar, even as other BJP leaders like Satya Pal Malik are asking for an immediate dismissal of the official.

Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik had hinted that if the Khattar government does not dismiss the official immediately, and take stringest action against him, it can only be assumed that the official was acting on instructions from elsewhere. “It is utterly shocking that the Chief Minister of the state is choosing to brush aside the barbaric and illegal instructions as only a wrong choice of words. It once again clearly reiterates what we have been saying, which is that the Khattar-Chautala government is at war with its own people.
Samyukt Kisan Morcha added that when the CM saying that farmers do not have anything to do with Haryana government because they are mainly demanding the repeal of 3 central farm laws is indeed true, except for the obvious fact that the Haryana BJP government is acting as a puppet for the Modi government at the Centre, and has been brutal against protesting farmers from the beginning.
Given that BJP governments are behaving in an anti-people manner, SKM had put out a call to all protesting farmers to boycott, and organise black flag protests against leaders of BJP and allied parties. This will be continued in different states”, said SKM.
Withdraw Cases immediately against 100 protesting farmers: SKM
A Kisan Panchayat organised in Gharonda grain market had issued an ultimatum to the Haryana government today. Farm unions of Haryana gave the deadline of September 6th by which they want the BJP-JJP government to take strong action against SDM Ayush Sinha by filing a case with murder charges on him, and by dismissing him immediately.
SKM also called the action of the administration shameful wherein they filed cases against 100 protesting farmers. SKM demands the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all such cases by the Haryana government.
Meanwhile, a state level coordination committee has been created in Uttarakhand of Samyukt Kisan Morcha yesterday. Several farmer unions of the state joined hands to form the state unit. In the recently-concluded National Convention of SKM, a plan was put out to form state and district level units of SKM all over the country.
In Yamunanagar yesterday, BJP had to cancel two programs fearful of facing the farmers’ ire. Education Minister of Haryana Kanwar Pal Gurjar, an MLA and Mayor of Yamunanagar, and a program of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, MP Ratanlal Kataria were cancelled by the party when large numbers of farmers started gathering in protest against these events.
Preparations in full swing for Muzaffarnagar Kisan Mahapanchayat on September 5th
Mobilisation efforts continue in various states and districts, for the Kisan Mahapanchayat on September 5th in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. SKM expects lakhs of farmers to participate in this event, which will lead to Mission UP plans of disseminating the anti-farmer and pro-corporate policies and laws of the BJP Modi government.
Today, in the Mewat region falling under south Haryana, in Nuh, there was a Kisan Mahapanchayat attended by several SKM leaders. There was a call put out to farmers in the region to make the farmers’ movement stronger, and to make September 25th Bharat Bandh a great success.
Yesterday, a meeting of the “Samvidhan Bachao, Desh Bachao Abhiyan” in Constitution Club in Delhi extended its support to the farmers’ movement, and also to the 25th September Bharat Bandh call.
