On the call of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the Kundali Manesar Palwal Highway and Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal Highway was blocked for 24 hours by the farmers and labourers. This highway connects the borders of Delhi and is a bypass for all the outer cities. From the morning itself, the farmers started reaching the highway. To block this road, a large number of youth and women arrived from Punjab and Haryana along with people from nearby areas. Farmer leaders, while presenting today’s blockade as a warning, said that if the government does not accept the demand of the farmers, then the pressure on the government will be built in the same as well as other ways.
Farmers have blocked the Dasna plaza and Ghazipur border. The farmers managed the langar and water on this highway itself. Farmers protesting at the Tikri border also blocked the KMP and set a stage. Led by agitating farmers of the Singhu border, farmers blocked the KMP at three sites.
Due to the full support of common people, this program of farmers was a complete success.
The government has always presented the agitation of the farmers as a violent protest. Today, Haryana Police arrested the farmers who were protesting in Rewasan Mewat. Some farmers were also beaten up. SKM condemns this behaviour of the Haryana Police. Later, under the pressure of farmers and other protesters, the arrested farmers were released. In the past as well, farmers have been not scared by the violence of the police and will not be afraid even further.
On Sunday,11th April, social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s birth anniversary will be celebrated on the Delhi borders. Jyotiba Phule was a great social reformer with the inspiration of gender justice and a fighter of the farmers movement. Programs for “exploitation free society” in honour of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule were celebrated.
On 14 April, the Ambedkar Jayanti program will be celebrated at the dharna sites on the borders of Delhi. On this day, Dalit Bahujans from across the country will be reaching the borders of Delhi.
Farmers will oppose the visit of Chief Minister Khattar to Badauli: SKM supported the decision of the Sarv-jatiya Sarv-khap Panchayat
During this farmers movement, SKM has called for a social boycott of the leaders of the BJP and its allies who are supporting three farm laws. In the light of this call, on April 11, at the dharna site of Antil Khap on the Singhu border, Sarvjatiya Sarvakhap Panchayat was organized which was chaired by Shri Hawa Singh Ji. Prominent leaders of SKM were also present in this panchayat. It was unanimously decided in the panchayat that the visit of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the Rai assembly’s Badoli village on April 14 will be strongly and peacefully opposed. The Panchayat made it clear that we are not opposing the unveiling of the statue of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Except for the Chief Minister, if anyone else unveils this statue, the farmers have no objection.

Since the last few years, this government has done a lot of atrocities on Dalits on the is used of scholarship, SC-ST Act, employment and other issues. This program of the Khattar government is being conducted to create a fight between the Dalits and farmers. BJP can also provoke and spread violence in these programs. We appeal to all Dalit Bahujan organizations in Haryana to peacefully oppose the Khattar government in this program.
SKM supported the decision and announced full cooperation in it. Morcha made it clear that the protest in Haryana on April 14 would be confined to the programs of Chief Minister Khattar and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala only.
Delhi Police’s brutality on Punjabi youths condemned by SKM, farmers will not be afraid of such attempts
The agitators who are directly and indirectly strengthening this movement are constantly being harassed by the central government and its agencies. On baseless allegations, the brother of Lakha Sidana Gurdeep Singh (Mundi Sidana) of Punjab was forcibly picked up and brutally beaten by the Delhi Police. We strongly condemn and oppose such undemocratic, inhuman and illegal action. All these efforts are made to suppress the voice of the farmers, but SKM will not withdraw the movement until the three agricultural laws are repealed and the MSP is enacted. Along with this, we are also making it clear that farmers and other agitators are not afraid of the violent action of the police.
Farmers leaders ready to talk, Agri-Minister’s statement is not a suggestion but a condition
On the question of talks, the Agriculture minister asked farmers to postpone the protest. SKM understands that this statement of the Minister of Agriculture is not a suggestion but a condition that talks can take place after vacating the protest sites. Farmers have never refused to talk to the government, the government should send a proposal for talks, the farmer leaders are ready for talks.
